What We Do Ship Repair:
1) Service Availability & Access
Where we attend: alongside at Cai Lan berths; designated anchorages in Ha Long Bay.
Boarding: gangway or launch boat. Toolbox talk on arrival; permits verified (PTW, hot-work, LOTO, confined space gas test, diving).
Team & competency: IACS-approved welders (WPS/WPQ), marine electricians, fitters, riggers, divers working to IMCA practice.
Test & tools: IR/PI/surge testers, clamp meters & thermography, UHT (ultrasonic hatch cover tester), manometers, torque tools, NDT kits (UT/MPI/DPT), calibrated water bags for load tests.
2) Class & Regulatory Compliance
Welding compliance: We maintain WPS (Welding Procedure Specification) and PQR (Procedure Qualification Record) approved by Class as required for the job scope. Welders hold valid WPQ/WQ. Consumables are controlled (batch, expiry), base-metal certificates kept, and welding logs are attached to the job file. NDT (UT/MPI/DPT) is applied per scope; repairs are re-inspected and documented for Class surveyor review.
Annual services & statutory: Where applicable, our annual/periodic services are accepted by Class and carried out to satisfy IMO/SOLAS, LSA Code, FSS Code, and Flag/terminal requirements. Typical items include lifeboat & davit inspection, liferaft coordination, fire detection & extinguishing systems, GMDSS/VDR checks, crane/davit load tests, and pilot/embarkation arrangements. We coordinate maker-authorized stations if the system requires OEM authorization.
Records for survey: We prepare evidence packs (reports, certificates, photos, calibration references) so the Class/Flag surveyor can verify quickly without re-work.
Operation: Pay-out/haul-in, manual override, brake holding, lighting/emergency lowering where fitted.
Proof load: Applied per maker/Class; pilot transfer interface verified to SOLAS/IMO requirements for embarkation arrangements.
Records: Readings/time, photos of critical points, corrective actions.
8) Diagnostics & Verification
Electrical acceptance: IR/PI (temp-corrected) recorded; surge test where applicable; no-load run ≥ 20 min with phase-current balance; thermography confirming no hot spots at terminals.
Hatch weather-tightness: chalk/feeler contact; UHT screenshot (device ID & cal. due date); hose trial if requested—no drips inside.
Piping: gauge photos at test pressure; hold time listed; valves re-marked with flow direction; supports corrected.
Machinery harbour trial: 30–60 min if safe—no alarms/trips; LO pressure steady; exhaust spread acceptable; remarks signed by CE.
